Ishaq Dar visits Data Darbar and meets China's new ambassador

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajvery, also known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, in Lahore. He described the shrine as having unique spiritual and historical significance, serving as a center of devotion for millions of followers from both within Pakistan and abroad.

During his visit, Dar offered prayers for the country's security, prosperity, and stability. Additionally, Dar met with Ali Asad Gilani, the newly appointed Ambassador to China. Dar emphasized the importance of strengthening the ‘ironclad brotherhood’ and long-standing partnership between Pakistan and China, specifically highlighting cooperation in trade, investment, CPEC, agriculture, science, technology, and education.

Separately, Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari addressed criticisms regarding Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's recent visit to London. Bukhari stated that the Chief Minister is personally bearing all expenses for the trip. She criticized individuals and social media influencers for spreading misinformation regarding the funding of the visit, asserting that all official government processes follow legal protocols and that the allegations are baseless.
