Ishaq Jamilu gains international recognition for electric vehicle design

Ishaq Jamilu, a 19-year-old automotive enthusiast from Katsina State, Nigeria, has received international recognition for his innovative electric vehicle (EV) design. His work was featured by the International Art Magazine Japan in an article titled, “Revolutionising Affordable Electric Vehicles: Reducing Costs Without Sacrificing Performance.”

Jamilu, who resides in the Kusada Local Government Area, developed his expertise through self-learning, including online research, technical drawing, 3D modelling, and practical experience as a vehicle mechanic. His EV concept aims to make electric mobility more affordable by focusing on reducing production costs while maintaining performance, efficiency, durability, and functionality.

The proposed design features a compact body structure, efficient space utilization, a user-friendly interior, and elements intended to improve energy conservation.
