Ishigaki Island Yakiniku Souko to open in Okinawa

A new yakiniku restaurant, Ishigaki Island Yakiniku Souko, is scheduled to open in late September 2026 in Ishigaki City, Okinawa. Operated by WN Co., Ltd., the establishment will be located in a large warehouse in the Okawa district, utilizing the building's original concrete walls and floors to create a rugged, industrial atmosphere.

The restaurant focuses on the freshness and preparation of Ishigaki beef and other meats, offering a casual dining experience where guests cook over traditional shichirin charcoal grills. The concept, “Smoke, sound, and deliciousness are all part of the experience,” aims to provide a sensory-driven dining environment.

Signature menu items include Ishigaki Island Yakiniku Souko Yukke, fresh hormone (offal), thick-cut liver, and an Ishigaki beef assortment. The venue will feature approximately 60 seats and is designed to be a welcoming spot for travelers to enjoy a relaxed meal in casual attire.
