IShowSpeed releases unofficial 2026 World Cup anthem, fans hail it over Shakira's official song

YouTuber IShowSpeed published a new track titled “World Cup (Champions)” as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches. The video amassed more than three million YouTube views within 15 hours, while its teaser earned 34 million views on X in just over half a day. Fans on multiple platforms praised the song, with comments calling it "better than Shakira’s Dai Dai" and urging FIFA to adopt it as the tournament’s official anthem. FIFA’s official World Cup account on X responded with a teasing "We will be in touch…".

The release follows Speed’s 2023 World Cup‑themed song and joins a roster of official tournament tracks, including the FIFA‑endorsed anthem "Dai Dai" by Shakira and Burna Boy. While not officially linked to FIFA, the anthem has sparked a viral debate comparing it to the official music lineup.

The 2026 World Cup will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
