Ishwar Srikhnu denies involvement in Orlando Jaikarran murder
Ishwar Srikhnu, a 47-year-old religious leader known as “Ravi,” has been released on $500,000 station bail following allegations of involvement in the death of six-year-old Orlando Jaikarran. Srikhnu has categorically denied any connection to the child’s disappearance or killing, stating, “There’s nothing to do with me, and me no get no hands, and no connection with this murderer, or this crime.”
The allegations surfaced after Orlando’s father, Bharrat Jaikarran, claimed a pujari was involved in the killing. While investigations continue, Srikhnu has not been charged with any offense. He noted that his relationship with Bharrat Jaikarran had deteriorated prior to the disappearance, following Srikhnu’s refusal to assist with certain religious activities and a request for Jaikarran to stay away from his premises.
Srikhnu also disputed claims that the child was taken to a waterside for religious rituals, questioning the validity of accounts placing him at the scene. He expressed concern that the public allegations could irreparably damage his reputation and the future of his temple.
