Isi Naisarani signs with Fijian Drua for Super Rugby Pacific

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has signed former Wallabies No. 8 Isi Naisarani for the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season. The Fijian-born backrower returns to his home country following a career that includes stints with the Western Force, ACT Brumbies, and Melbourne Rebels in Australia, as well as playing in Japan.

Drua coach Brad Mooar noted that Naisarani, 31, caught his attention while playing in the Shute Shield for Randwick. Mooar described the signing as “very exciting,” stating that Naisarani’s dynamic and powerful playing style will provide significant value to both attack and defense.

Naisarani’s recruitment follows other notable additions to the squad, including flyhalf Ben Volavola and Olympic sevens champion Leone Nakarawa.
