Isidora Trifunović detained in Belgrade over alleged Zara theft
Serbian actor Sergej Trifunović's wife, Isidora Trifunović (also reported as Isidora Mijanović), was taken to a police station in Belgrade after store security reported a theft at a Zara shop. The alarm was triggered when she left the fitting room, and guards found a coat valued at 8,990 dinars in her bag. Police recorded her statement that the coat had "accidentally fallen into the bag" and the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal complaint under article 203(1) of the Criminal Code for theft. Sergej was present with her at the time of the incident. The case also notes that Isidora, a Croatian citizen, previously faced an administrative penalty for illegal residence in Serbia.
The incident highlights the involvement of Serbian police and prosecutors, the commercial retailer Zara, and the cross‑border aspect of a Croatian national being prosecuted in Serbia.
