Isidoreio Nursing Home opens in Meteora

The Isidoreio Nursing Home has officially commenced operations in the Meteora Municipality, providing a modern 21-bed facility for elderly care in the Trikala prefecture. The project, which covers approximately 4,354 square meters across two levels, was funded by the Thessaly Region through the NSRF (ESPA) with a total budget of 3.07 million euros.

The establishment of the facility resulted from a multi-party collaboration: the Holy Monastery of Varlaam provided the land, the Holy Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora acted as the project beneficiary, and the Meteora Municipality improved accessibility by paving the access road. The facility includes ten double rooms on the ground floor, along with medical, administrative, and service areas, while the basement accommodates auxiliary needs.

The official opening included a blessing ceremony led by Metropolitan Theoklitos of Stagoi and Meteora. The facility aims to provide not only organized medical care but also companionship and respect for the elderly residents.
