Isis Valverde shares fertility challenges during pregnancy attempts
Brazilian actress Isis Valverde has shared the challenges she is facing while attempting to conceive her first child with partner Marcus Buaiz. The decision to expand their family was prompted by Valverde’s seven-year-old son, Rael, expressing a desire for a sibling.
During the process, Valverde discovered that her ovarian reserve is lower than expected. She also revealed that celiac disease had caused hormonal imbalances and disrupted her body. While she initially suspected early menopause, medical investigations ruled that possibility out.
Medical experts noted that while a low ovarian reserve can impact fertility and the response to stimulation, it does not strictly prevent pregnancy. However, they emphasized that at age 39, both the quantity and quality of eggs are significant factors in reproductive planning.
