İskeçe Mufti’s Office holds Mawlid al-Nabi programs

The İskeçe Mufti’s Office organized two separate religious programs in Koru and Ilıca to observe Mawlid al-Nabi, focusing on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

The first event, held in the Koru village of the Yaka region, drew a large turnout from the local Turkish Muslim minority. The program included recitations of the Mawlid-i Sharif and speeches regarding the religious significance of the occasion. Mustafa Trampa, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of reflecting the Prophet’s moral character in daily life. Notable attendees included İskeçe MP Hüseyin Zeybek and various regional council members.

A second program specifically for women was held in the 1st Neighborhood of Ilıca. This event focused on the relevance of the Prophet’s exemplary life and moral values to everyday existence. The Mufti’s Office also conducted Mawlid-i Sharif recitations at various mosques throughout the region.
