Isla Cristina: German woman found dead with multiple stab wounds

A 47-year-old German woman was found dead on a promenade in the coastal town of Isla Cristina, Andalusia, on Thursday morning. Emergency services received a call at 8:50 a.m., but responders could only confirm the woman's death upon arrival.

Reports indicate the victim sustained more than 20 stab wounds. Authorities have arrested a 60-year-old Italian man, the woman's partner, as a primary suspect. He was reportedly found at the scene with a knife when police arrived.

The couple had been traveling through Spain in a motorhome, which remains near the beach and is being examined by investigators. A specific motive for the killing has not yet been established, and the investigation is ongoing.
