Isla Cristina: Man released after forensic report rules out involvement in partner's death

A 60-year-old Italian man has been released from custody following the death of his 47-year-old partner in Isla Cristina, Huelva. The judicial authority ordered his release after technical inspections and a preliminary forensic report discarded the initial hypothesis that the death was a case of gender-based violence.

The woman's body was discovered on August 28 at La Gaviota beach with stab wounds. The couple, who resided in Germany, were traveling through the Iberian Peninsula in a motorhome at the time of the incident. While the man was initially detained as a suspect, forensic evidence and analytical results from the scene have since ruled out his involvement. Currently, investigators have not identified a specific third-party suspect in the case.
