Isla Cristina shooting: Three suspects sent to provisional prison

Three men, aged between 24 and 36, have been sent to provisional prison without bail following a fatal shooting in the El Rocío neighborhood of Isla Cristina. The incident, which occurred on August 16, resulted in three deaths—including one pregnant woman—and left two others injured.

The Instruction Judge 3 of Ayamonte has issued the order, which includes provisional charges of three counts of murder, intentional injury to a fetus resulting in death, membership in a criminal group, injury, and attempted homicide. The judge also lifted the secrecy of the proceedings, allowing involved parties to access the case files.

The Guardia Civil conducted simultaneous searches in Huelva involving over 80 agents. During these operations, authorities seized a firearm, nearly 30,000 euros in cash, approximately 20 mobile phones, bulletproof vests, a taser, and various documents. Investigators believe the seized material links the detainees to the crime, and further arrests are not ruled out.
