Isla de Margarita receives over 120,000 tourists

The Isla de Margarita received more than 120,000 tourists between August and the first days of September, according to the Tourism Corporation of the State of Nueva Esparta (Corpotur).

Official data indicates that 89,000 visitors arrived during August, followed by more than 33,000 devotees in the first nine days of September for religious festivities. This influx has bolstered the region's economic activity.

In terms of connectivity, there are high expectations regarding the upcoming activation of a direct flight route between Panama and Porlamar, which is estimated to transport over 45,000 passengers annually. Additionally, Avior Airlines has resumed operations to and from the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía following the stabilization of operational conditions after seismic events in June.
