Isla Isabel National Park hosts major blue-footed booby colony

Isla Isabel National Park, located off the coast of Santiago Ixcuintla in Nayarit, Mexico, serves as a significant site for observing marine life. The park hosts one of the most important colonies of blue-footed boobies (Sula nebouxii) in the Eastern Pacific.

According to CONANP, these birds migrate to the island's volcanic landscapes annually to reproduce and raise their chicks. The species is easily identified by its distinctive blue feet and white and brown plumage.
