Isla Mujeres hosts Chiquitita Verano 2026 festival for local girls

The municipal government of Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, held the "Chiquitita Verano 2026" festival on July 19, 2026. Led by municipal president Atenea Gómez Ricalde, the event showcased the artistic talent and creativity of local girls through parades and stage performances.

Each participant received a title designating her as a representative of a municipal festivity or tradition, and all were given a commemorative gift. One girl earned the special "Chiquitita Fundación 2026" distinction. Organizers said the celebration aims to strengthen the girls' confidence, promote cultural participation, and provide families with shared positive experiences.
