Isla Mujeres mayor launches summer course and backs school graduation
Municipal president Atenea Gómez Ricalde announced a summer program for children aged 7‑11 on the island. Registrations run from 13 to 17 July at community centres in the island and the continental zone, with fees of 300 pesos for island residents and 150 pesos for the mainland. The course will offer recreational, sports and cultural activities aimed at fostering teamwork and skill development.
Ricalde also served as godmother for the graduation ceremony of primary‑school students at Centenario de la Constitución, praising pupils, teachers and parents. She reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to expanding sports facilities and playgrounds, such as the new park in La Victoria, to improve youth recreation and community wellbeing.
