UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev has announced his intention to compete in at least three more fights within the organization.

Makhachev recently secured a unanimous decision victory against Irish fighter Ian Machado Garry during the main event of UFC 330 in Philadelphia. This win established a new UFC record for the most consecutive victories, totaling 17.

The 34-year-old fighter, who holds a professional record of 29 wins and one loss, has returned to Dagestan. He currently leads the UFC rankings across all categories and previously held a title in the lightweight division.
