Islam Slimani takes Chabab Belouizdad to CAS over unpaid wages
Algerian striker Islam Slimani has officially filed a dispute with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against his former club, Chabab Belouizdad (CRB). The former national team captain is seeking approximately 41 billion centimes in unpaid wages and contractual arrears.
The legal action follows a breakdown in relations after Slimani returned to the Algiers-based club in 2024. Despite attempts to resolve the financial disagreement through discussions, no compromise was reached between the player and the club's management.
A hearing has been scheduled for October 15, 2026, where both parties will present their arguments before the court issues a ruling on the matter.
