Islamabad authorities issue encroachment notice to Maulana Fazlur Rehman

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a 15-day notice to the residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, ordering the removal of alleged building violations and encroachments in Islamabad.

The identified violations include a security guard cabin, a generator installed near the main entrance, and an additional kitchen. The notice was formally addressed to Amanullah, identified by the CDA as the registered owner of the property. Failure to comply with the directive could result in enforcement action by the authority.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry addressed the matter in a televised speech, stating that the anti-encroachment campaign would continue regardless of political influence. Chaudhry described the security cabin as an illegal cage-like structure and emphasized a policy of zero tolerance for encroachments. This development follows a similar directive issued by the CDA regarding the same property in March 2019.
