Islamabad CDA implements major urban development and infrastructure projects

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is implementing a comprehensive development agenda for Islamabad to enhance the city's infrastructure, greenery, and modern amenities. Under the leadership of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the supervision of CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf, the authority is focusing on rapid project completion, the recovery of government land, and urban beautification.

Key initiatives include the construction of three modern sports arenas, the upgrading of parks and Lake View Park, and improved solid waste management. To alleviate traffic congestion, the CDA has completed several underpass projects, such as the Margalla Road and Ninth Avenue underpasses, and is working on the Kashmir Chowk underpass, which has a one-month completion target set by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Additionally, the CDA has carried out road re-carpeting and pedestrian walkway improvements in residential and commercial areas, including the F-Series, G-Series, and Blue Area.
