Islamabad-Rawalpindi Metrobus partially suspended for cricket security

Metrobus services between Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been partially suspended due to security and traffic arrangements for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20 International cricket series.

Operations between Kashmir Highway and Pak Secretariat are currently halted, though buses continue to run between Saddar Station in Rawalpindi and Faiz Ahmed Faiz Station in Islamabad. The restrictions are intended to facilitate the movement of teams traveling to and from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium during matches scheduled for October 9, 11, and 13.

Authorities have implemented special measures and temporary traffic diversions around the stadium. Islamabad Traffic Police have advised motorists to expect delays of approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
