Islamabad to host first WT Women’s tennis tournament

The Junaid Family Foundation (JFF) has announced its sponsorship of the World Tennis (WT) Women’s $15,000 Futures Tournament, which is set to take place in Islamabad from October 12 to 17. Organized by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), this event marks the first-ever WT women’s tournament hosted in Pakistan.

The competition is expected to feature approximately 40 international players competing alongside emerging female tennis talent from Pakistan. A spokesperson for the JFF stated that the sponsorship aligns with the foundation’s mission to empower women through sports and promote equality and civic engagement.

The foundation has a history of supporting international sporting events in the United States, including Squash in the Land in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Four Nations Polo Cup in Virginia.
