Islamic Cultural Center in Sisak marks fourth anniversary
The Islamic Cultural Center in Sisak celebrated its fourth anniversary with a formal academy and the opening of an exhibition of classical Islamic art. The event marked the center's development since its opening on September 8, 2022.
Attendees included Sisak-Moslavina County Prefect Ivan Celjak, Zagreb Mufti Dr. Aziz-ef. Hasanović, and Fatih Mehmet Karaca from the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet). Ambassadors from Turkey and Qatar were also present.
Prefect Celjak noted that the center serves as a venue for religious and social events that enrich society, providing an opportunity for non-Muslim citizens to learn about Islamic culture and languages. Alem Crnkić, the chief imam of the Sisak Islamic Community, emphasized that the center's value lies in the human connections and emotional experiences it fosters within the community.
