Islamic religious education competitions, known as PAI Fair, were held in September 2026 across different regions in Indonesia, focusing on developing character and Quranic skills among junior high school students.

In Bandar Lampung, 733 students from 98 schools participated in the PAI Fair at SMPN 16 Bandar Lampung. The event included competitions in categories such as Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an (MHQ), calligraphy, and Islamic solo singing. Organizers stated the event aims to foster creativity and Islamic values in the digital era.

In the Serang Regency, SMPIT Al Quran Bina Insan Kragilan secured two awards at the local PAI Fair. M. Lutfi El Gibran won second place in the male MHQ category, while Khalisa Nirmala Ramadhani took first place in the female speech category.
