Islamic literature highlights classical wisdom and contemporary political theology
Recent literary and spiritual publications have highlighted classical Islamic wisdom and contemporary theological perspectives. The works of historical figures such as Saadi Shirazi (1210–1292) and Imam al-Qushayri (986–1072) continue to offer guidance on humility, piety, and spiritual discipline. Saadi Shirazi, known for his works 'Bustan' and 'Gulistan', emphasized the importance of humility and the pursuit of virtue.
In contemporary literature, Baha Mustafa Çığıl has released two books: ‘Şer’i Siyaset’ and ‘Vasat Yol’. ‘Şer’i Siyaset’ explores the intersection of religion and politics, arguing that the integration of faith and authority is necessary for social order and justice. ‘Vasat Yol’ addresses the need for a moderate Islamic understanding, cautioning against the methodological errors and extremism that have historically caused intellectual fractures within the community.
