Islamic nations condemn Israel's rejection of Trump's Gaza peace roadmap FAST-MOVING

Eight Islamic nations—including Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Indonesia—have issued a joint statement condemning Israel's refusal to implement a peace roadmap for Gaza. The ministers stated that Israel's position threatens to derail efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the conflict and establish lasting peace. The group holds Israel responsible for any further deterioration of the situation on the ground.

Following a meeting in Egypt between a Hamas leader and Jared Kushner, Hamas has called upon the U.S.-led Board of Peace to compel Israel to adhere to the peace plan. Hamas requested that mediators ensure Israel fulfills its first-phase commitments, including halting killings and incursions, and establishing a timeline for the second phase of the Trump plan.

Adding to the regional tension, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir suggested that Israel should conduct targeted assassinations in Gaza, proposing the killing of 30 to 40 people nightly.
