Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets US bases in Jordan and Kuwait
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a series of coordinated missile and drone attacks targeting United States military installations across the Middle East.
In Jordan, the IRGC claimed to have launched an intensive ballistic missile attack against the Prince Hassan Air Base. The strikes reportedly targeted hangars housing MQ-4 and MQ-9 long-range drones, resulting in the destruction of several unmanned aerial vehicles, damage to technical infrastructure, and the deaths of American pilots and technical crew members.
Simultaneously, the IRGC reported a hybrid attack on the Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The group stated that the strike targeted the US command headquarters, the commander's residence, and drone hangars. According to the IRGC, the operation caused fires, destroyed drones, and resulted in the deaths of several enemy personnel.
The IRGC stated these actions were a response to a US strike in Sereik that reportedly killed four civilians, including a child, and injured approximately 70 people. The group also claimed its operations were conducted in coordination with attacks on targets in Bahrain and Erbil.
