Islamic sermons address divine justice and status

Recent Friday sermons have focused on core Islamic theological concepts, specifically the attributes of Allah regarding status and justice.

Murtadha Gusau delivered a sermon discussing Allah as ‘Al-Khafid’ (The One Who Lowers) and ‘Ar-Rafi’ (The One Who Elevates). The message emphasized that changes in worldly status, wealth, and power are subject to divine wisdom, advising the powerful to remain humble and providing comfort to those facing hardships.

A separate sermon addressed the concept of divine justice, noting that Allah is the ultimate Judge who maintains balance within creation. The teaching urged believers to uphold justice in their own words and deeds, starting with personal accountability and acting fairly even when it conflicts with their own interests.
