Islander opens first London store in Covent Garden

Edinburgh‑based accessories brand Islander has opened its first shop outside Scotland at 29 Short’s Gardens in Covent Garden, London. The new retail space was designed by global design studio Dalziel & Pow and showcases the brand’s signature Harris Tweed® bags, leather and tartan pieces.

A central feature of the store is a hands‑on workshop where customers can select fabrics, straps and charms to assemble a bespoke satchel in about an hour. The interior uses earthy tones, rich greens and tactile materials to create an immersive, co‑creation environment. Islander plans a second London location on Bloomsbury Street later in 2026.
