Islantilla Film Festival concludes with Luna de Islantilla awards
The 19th edition of the Islantilla International Film Festival (Islantilla Cinefórum) has concluded with the presentation of the Luna de Islantilla Awards. The ceremony took place at the Hotel Estival Islantilla.
In the official jury categories, the documentary ‘Plus Ultra’ by Elías Pérez was named Best Feature Film. The award for Best Short Film went to ‘Furia’, directed by Fran Moreno Blanco and Santi Pujol Amat. Audience choice awards were presented to the feature film ‘Un hombre de verdad’ by Liteo Pedregal and the short film ‘Hasta enterrarlos’ by Marco Araújo.
Special honors included the ‘Luis Ciges’ Award for career achievement, presented to director and producer Javier Fesser. Additionally, the RTVA Award for Andalusian audiovisual creation was awarded to the short film ‘Las Malas’, directed by Elisa Moreno. This edition of the festival saw significant participation, with 1,160 productions submitted from five continents.
