Islantilla Film Festival hosts animated film cycle for children

The 19th edition of the Islantilla International Film Festival Under the Moon will host a special ‘Minifórum’ cycle dedicated to children on Wednesday, August 26. Starting at 22:00, these free screenings of animated films will take place at the outdoor auditorium of El Camaleón Park.

The selected animated works include ‘April’ by Carmen Metín and Corona Alonso, ‘Kronoshock’ by Ignasi López Fábregas, ‘Las aventuras del joven Félix’ by Ricardo Ramón, ‘Superescolares 2. Una mente sana’ by Íñigo Echávarri, and ‘The Piano’ by Avery Kroll. The event aims to introduce younger audiences to the cinematic experience within the tourist enclave shared by Lepe and Isla Cristina.

The festival is approaching its conclusion, with the closing ceremony scheduled for Saturday, August 29. The ceremony will announce the 2026 winners and present the ‘Luis Ciges’ Award at the Hotel Estival Islantilla.
