Islantilla will host the III International Blue Flag Congress: Sustainability, Health, and Safety (CIBASSS 2026) from September 30 to October 2. The event serves as an international meeting point to analyze the challenges facing beaches and coastal municipalities.

The congress will bring together over 200 representatives from public administrations, universities, research centers, environmental entities, and tourism professionals. The program features 45 speakers and participation from 38 public and private entities from various regions and countries.

Key discussion topics include coastal sustainability, safety, accessibility, and health.
