Isle of Man TT: John McGuinness career exhibition announced

The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) remains one of the most unique motorcycle racing events in the world. Established in 1907, the race takes place on the historic Mountain Course, utilizing public roads rather than a permanent circuit, which requires distinct logistical preparation and a different approach to racing compared to standard Grand Prix events.

To celebrate the legacy of the event and its legendary riders, a pop-up exhibition titled ‘The John McGuinness MBE Pop-Up Exhibition and Cinema’ will be held at the Mercury Club from August 19 to August 28, 2026. The exhibition features ten motorcycles that trace McGuinness’s three-decade career, including the 2007 Honda Fireblade he used to become the first rider to lap the Mountain Course at an average speed exceeding 130 mph (approximately 209 km/h).

The display, which is free to the public during the Classic TT, includes helmets, racing suits, and memorabilia, such as the signature voodoo doll design featured on McGuinness’s helmets since 1999.
