Isle of the Golden Swan selected for New Zealand film festival

Anand Ekarshi’s English-language short film, ‘Isle of the Golden Swan’, has been selected for the Indian Film Festival of New Zealand 2026. The film will make its world premiere at the festival.

Directed by Ekarshi, the project features an ensemble cast including Prakash Raj, Kavya Ramachandran, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, with a special appearance by Zarin Shihab. The film is produced by Vinod Kailas and features cinematography by Anand C. Chandran.

This selection follows the success of Ekarshi’s debut feature, ‘Aattam’, which received three National Film Awards and served as the opening film for the Indian Panorama section at the 54th International Film Festival of India.
