Ismael Saibari's World Cup impact and Bayern Munich transfer

Moroccan midfielder Ismael Saibari has become a key figure for the Atlas Lions at the 2026 World Cup, scoring the equaliser against Brazil and the winner versus Scotland to help Morocco secure four points and a spot in the round of 16. The 22‑year‑old, who logged 19 goals and nine assists for PSV Eindhoven last season, attracted interest from AC Milan, but the move collapsed after Milan missed Champions League qualification and overhauled its coaching and management staff.

Bayern Munich have now agreed a €55 million transfer for Saibari, with the player reportedly completing medical examinations in the United States. The German club view him as a versatile option to replace departing forwards, while Saibari looks set to spend the 2024‑25 season in the Bundesliga after a decade in the Dutch league.
