The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has reactivated its search for Ismael Zambada Sicairos, also known as ‘El Mayito Flaco,’ a high-ranking leader within the Sinaloa Cartel’s ‘La Mayiza’ faction.

Zambada Sicairos, the son of co-founder Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada, is wanted in the Southern District of California for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, including cocaine and fentanyl. The DEA has issued a warning that the fugitive is considered armed and dangerous, advising the public not to attempt an apprehension.

A reward of up to 15 million dollars is being offered for information that leads to his location and arrest. His last known location is reported to be in Mexico. His rise to leadership within the cartel follows the arrest of his father in July 2024 and has reportedly intensified internal conflicts between the ‘La Mayiza’ and ‘Los Chapitos’ factions in Sinaloa.
