Ismail Lasim Starts Term, Sets Up New Negeri Sembilan EXCO

Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan Datuk Ismail Lasim officially began his duties at Wisma Negeri in Seremban, marking the start of his administration with a thumb‑press on the recorder at 9 a.m. He said he has a provisional list of ten EXCO members and will finalize the lineup after obtaining the Yang di‑Pertuan Besar’s assent and agreement from coalition parties.

Ismail gave former senior EXCO member Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias the freedom to decide whether to join the new council; Jalaluddin has declined to put himself forward. The chief minister indicated that a deputy EXCO position and the possible retention of a senior EXCO role are still under consideration, with the final EXCO list expected by the end of the week or early next week.
