Ismail Qaani claims U.S. defeat in Iraq and praises Resistance Front
Ismail Qaani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, stated during a ceremony in Tehran that the ‘Resistance Front’ continues its path inspired by the legacies of Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine.
Qaani claimed that the United States was ‘expelled from Iraq’ and suffered a ‘humiliating defeat’ against Iran. He also highlighted the military successes of the Yemeni people, noting that resistance forces have reclaimed 5,400 square kilometers of targeted areas and are close to reclaiming an additional 1,000 square kilometers.
He emphasized the need to strengthen a ‘belt of defense, independence, and dignity’ stretching from Afghanistan to Yemen and from Iran to Gaza and Lebanon, asserting that the unity of Islamic peoples is essential to achieving their goals.
