İsmail Özdemir questions meat slaughter pricing in Kayseri

MHP Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir has submitted a written parliamentary inquiry to Trade Minister Ömer Bolat regarding allegations of unfair pricing in Kayseri’s meat processing plants.

According to the inquiry, producers and industry representatives claim that certain large firms are setting animal slaughter prices on a daily basis. It is further alleged that other businesses are basing their own pricing on the figures announced by these dominant companies. Özdemir has requested information on whether the Ministry has received reports regarding these claims, if any investigations or audits have been conducted, and if there are ongoing studies to determine if a price mechanism that disrupts market competition has emerged.
