Ismaila Sarr enters contract talks with Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace and Senegal international Ismaila Sarr are reportedly in positive discussions regarding a new long-term contract. This follows a period of significant tension during the summer transfer window when Sarr was excluded from several Premier League squads amid interest from Liverpool FC.

While Liverpool ultimately pursued other options in Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz, reports suggest that Sarr’s new contract with Crystal Palace may include a specific clause. Former scout Mick Brown claims this clause could allow Liverpool to sign the winger in the future, as Sarr had previously expressed a strong desire to join the club.

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish previously defended the club’s stance on Sarr’s valuation, noting the difficulty of replacing the player following his high-scoring performances. The winger's recent contract negotiations mark a significant turnaround from earlier months when his agent publicly accused the club of a lack of respect.
