Ismaila Sarr remains at Crystal Palace after failed Liverpool transfer

Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr remains with the club after a potential transfer to Liverpool failed to materialize during the final hours of the summer transfer window. Despite interest from Liverpool, as well as clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Crystal Palace maintained that the 28-year-old player was not for sale.

Following the failed move, Sarr reportedly expressed frustration, which included removing references to the London club from his social media accounts. Crystal Palace coach Pierre Sage stated that the Senegalese international needs time to process the situation emotionally, noting that playing for a club of Liverpool’s caliber is a dream for many players.

Sarr is currently sidelined with a groin injury, which has kept him out of recent matches and will prevent his participation in the upcoming fixture against Fulham. Sage expressed optimism that the player will remain at the club and focus on performing well to maintain interest from major clubs in the future.
