Isola dei famosi 2026 season launches with new format in the Philippines

Recordings for the 2026 edition of Italy’s reality show “Isola dei famosi” began on 13 June, moving the production to the Caramoan archipelago in the Philippines. The season is hosted by former opinionist Selvaggia Lucarelli, assisted by correspondent Alvin, and drops the studio studio, live voting and the previous Honduras location in favour of a format that resembles "Pechino Express".

The announced cast includes influencer Serena Enardu, former contestants Raffaella Fico, Pierpaolo Pretelli, Eva Grimaldi, Alex Caniggia and others such as Zeudi Di Palma, Francesco Chiofalo and Danny Mendez. Enardu handed over her phone to the production on the eve of the start, matching the show's rule that contestants surrender their devices.

The rules allow eliminated “naufraghi” to be rescued through specific challenges or a vote by fellow participants. A “last beach” may be used for temporary stays, and fully eliminated contestants return to Italy, where they are barred from revealing game details until official confirmation. A reunion special in Italy is also being considered.
