Turkey and Azerbaijan face widespread planned power outages

Multiple regions across Turkey and Azerbaijan are scheduled for planned electricity outages on October 15 and 16, 2026, due to grid maintenance, infrastructure investments, and repairs.

In Turkey, extensive outages are reported in several provinces. In Gaziantep, districts including Araban, İslahiye, Nizip, Şahinbey, and Şehitkamil will experience interruptions for network improvement. In Bursa, UEDAŞ has announced works across 14 of the 17 districts, with some outages lasting up to 8 hours in İnegöl and İznik. Other affected areas include Isparta, Sivas, Rize, Trabzon, and Ankara, where Başkent EDAŞ will conduct maintenance in Altındağ, Keçiören, Mamak, Çankaya, and Etimesgut. In the Aegean region, ADM Elektrik has scheduled works affecting Denizli, Aydın, and Muğla.

In Azerbaijan, Azərişıq has announced repair works to ensure continuous and high-quality energy supply. Planned outages will affect parts of Ağdaş, Yevlax, Mingəçevir, and Cəlilabadd, targeting various 10 kV and 35 kV lines to minimize energy losses and meet increasing demand.
