Isparta business leaders present infrastructure demands to Transport Minister
During a meeting with transportation sector representatives in Isparta, Turkey, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu discussed regional infrastructure and national investment achievements. Metin Çelik, Chairman of the Isparta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ITSO), presented a report outlining five priority demands to boost the city's economic development through improved logistics and transport.
The ITSO demands include increasing flight frequencies between Isparta Süleyman Demirel Airport and Istanbul's airports to seven days a week, activating the airport's cargo terminal, evaluating Isparta's connection to the Istanbul–Antalya high-speed train line, and accelerating dual-road construction on the Isparta–Konya and Isparta–Antalya routes.
Additionally, Metin Çelik has proposed the establishment of an ITSO Logistics and Export Center. This project aims to develop collaborative models for warehousing, packaging, and distribution to help local small and medium-sized enterprises reduce costs and participate more effectively in international trade.
