Isparta, Turkey: Two Young Adults Found Dead in Parked Vehicle

On 22 June 2026, the bodies of 22‑year‑old Ufuk Erdoğan and 21‑year‑old Cansu Zengin were discovered inside a parked light‑commercial vehicle near Akpınar village in the Eğirdir district of Isparta, Turkey. Responding health, gendarmerie and police teams found no evidence of firearms, knives or other injuries; the preliminary on‑site autopsy reported "no suspicious findings" ("şüpheli bir bulguya rastlanmadı").

The deceased were taken to Isparta City Hospital morgue for a formal autopsy. Biological samples were forwarded to the Forensic Medicine Group Headquarters in Antalya and Istanbul for toxicological and laboratory analysis, and the definitive cause of death will be determined after those tests.

Funeral services were held on 24 June: Ufuk Erdoğan’s rites took place at Hızır Bey Mosque in Eğirdir, followed by burial in Burhan Çavuş Cemetery; Cansu Zengin’s ceremony was conducted at Çarşı Mosque in Çay, Afyonkarahisar, with burial in the local cemetery. The investigation remains ongoing.
