Israel accuses UN of systematic bias in Gaza war reporting

The Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism has launched a website to document what it describes as “systematic information distortions” in United Nations reporting regarding the war in Gaza. The platform, titled “UN Organizations and the Gaza War: Evidence of Systematic Bias,” contains nearly one hundred documents, articles, and testimonies from official, scientific, and independent sources.

The ministry aims to provide the public with material to independently assess the credibility of UN reports. Specific sections of the site challenge UN claims, including one titled “The Famine That Did Not Exist,” which disputes assessments regarding food shortages in the Gaza Strip. The ministry stated that holding powerful institutions accountable is essential for transparency and the rule of law.

In a related context, the documentary “Disunited Nations – The UN and the Middle East” examines the gap between the legal authority of UN mandates and their political effectiveness. The film focuses on Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, and her report titled “Anatomy of a Genocide,” highlighting the challenges of enforcing international legal findings in conflict zones.
