Israel and Ukraine collaborate on analyzing Russian and Iranian weaponry

Israel and Ukraine are expanding security cooperation through the joint study of Russian and Iranian weapons used during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Former Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, confirmed that Israel has received weapon samples from Kyiv for technical investigation.

The focus of this research includes Russian Geran-family attack drones, which are based on Iranian Shahed technology. Ukrainian representatives have indicated that early stages of this cooperation involved the transfer of Iranian Shahed drones to Israel for analysis.

Brodsky noted that Israel is actively developing defense systems against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including laser technologies, though an effective solution capable of countering all drone types has not yet been perfected. He emphasized that mastering drone defense remains a global priority for military advantage.
