Israel Chamber of Commerce to be established in Republika Srpska

The Israel Chamber of Commerce in Republika Srpska is set to be established in Banja Luka, with businessman Amir Gross Kabiri appointed as its head. The official inauguration is scheduled for September 3 at the Administrative Center of the Government of Republika Srpska. The event is expected to be hosted by Ana Trišić-Babić, acting director of the Office for International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, and Kabiri. Galit Peleg, the Israeli Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, is also expected to attend.

Kabiri is a prominent and controversial figure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, known for his business interests including the takeover of Aluminij in Mostar in 2020. He maintains close ties with political leaders Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović. His activities have previously drawn criticism from international Jewish organizations, such as the World Jewish Congress, regarding his claims to represent the Jewish community in the region and his business dealings.
