Israel Chamber of Commerce to open in Banja Luka

The Israel Chamber of Commerce is being established in Banja Luka, within the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The institution will be headed by Amir Gross Kabiri, a controversial Israeli businessman with established ties to regional political leaders, including Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović.

Government officials, including RS Prime Minister Savo Minić, state that the chamber aims to foster cooperation in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and technology, bringing advanced Israeli expertise to the region. However, the move has drawn scrutiny from political opposition and international observers.

Critics and analysts suggest the chamber may serve as a platform for political lobbying and the strengthening of international influence. Kabiri’s previous business activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as the acquisition of Aluminij in Mostar, have been accompanied by public controversies and criticism from international Jewish organizations.
